Registration is now open.
Before registering please note the
following.
- There are two parts to the registration: registration with the
organisers and payment. The payment web site is a bit awkward, so
please read the instructions on the registration page carefully.
- The organisers will book you into a conveniently located hotel
at
reasonable rates (they get a good discount.) You can ask for this by
checking the appropriate box when you register with them. In case you
prefer to find your own accommodation, there are some pointers below.

Alternative accommodation.
Unless you are trying to go for very cheap lodgings, you
will probably want to be within walking distance of the
conference venue, 13-15 South College Street, Edinburgh EH8
9AA. Most of this map is within
20 minutes walk from the e-Science Institute., but remember that
roughly speaking North of eSI is hilly and South is
relatively flat.
A good starting point for finding more unusual hotels is http://www.tripadvisor.com You
will find both regular hotels and bed-and-breakfasts, some of which are
surprisinglly good.) Also check out the Edinburgh tourist Web
site, http://www.edinburgh.org/
. Use http://www.multimap.com/
to locate a place by its postcode. This usually gives you an
accuracy of a few metres within the City.
